Hemmoroids is when your veins on the inside of the anus swell up, often because of pressure inside the vein which may restrict the blood flow back to the heart. There are a number of possible causes for hemmeroids (haemmoroids).
Constipation is probably the most common cause of hemorrhoids. Constricted stool, staying in the rectum above the anus, putting pressure on the veins can often result in a swelling up of the veins which is by definition - hemmorroids (hemmeroids).
A job which require sitting all day increases the risk of getting hemmroids.
Other hemmroids causes include long straining on the toilet to achieve bowel movement and as well as chronic diarrhoea.
Some drugs may also cause hemorrhoids, typically iron additives, some painkillers and some drugs for the treatment of mental disorders, high blood pressure or acid stomach. If you suspect any of your present drugs to be the cause of your hemroids, you need to consult your doctor and maybe find an equivalent drug without the side effects of the hemmroids (hemmoroids).
Hemmrods, or hemmerhoids can be internal or external. There are thrombosed haemroids, prolapsed hemorhoids. Treatment ranges from herbal relief and cure to haemmoroids surgery.
