Hemmoroids treatment

Treating hemmoroids

Many cases of hemmroids will just go away all by themselves, especially if the root cause of the hemmeroids is constipation, one of the most common causes of hemorrhoids (hemroids or sometimes also called hemorroids).

How common are hemmroids (hemmorroids)?

Hemmeroids is a very common problem, approximately 50% of all 50-year olds have had hemorroids at least once. Hemmoroids can appear at any age but hemmroids is considered more common with mid-aged or elderly people. Hemmoroids affects men and women equally often.

When should you see a doctor about your hemriods?

Your doctor will examine your rectum using a proctoscope (rectoscope), a see-though tubelike instrument which is inserted in your rectum in order to inspect for internal hemmorroids.

How to treat hemroids (hemorroids)

Treatment varies from the simple things like removing the causes of the hemorrhoids in the first case (see the list above), to active hemroid treatment using creams, ointments, or even in the severe cases - hemmoroid surgery (hemmorroid banding).
